Join us to celebrate, remember, and offer many bows for the amazing life of Fran Thompson, painter, friend, hiker, chef, conversationalist, biologist, scientific observer, birdwatcher, gardener, student of Shunryu Suzuki, Roshi, Sotan Tatsuagami, Roshi, Alison Cameron Stilwell, and C.C. Wang, and absolutely unique human being.

Place: Muir Woods Park Community Association Clubhouse, 40 Ridge Avenue, Mill Valley, California

Bring: Yourself and other friends of Fran you may know. Items for the altar (mementos, trinkets, anything you wish that reminds you of Fran).

Coming from the SOUTH on Highway 101
Take HWY 101 to HWY 1 Exit – Stinson Beach
Go straight through first stoplight.
**At next light, go left onto HWY 1 (ARCO station is on the left)
Follow double yellow lines 2.5 miles
At Y, take right fork – sign says Muir Woods/Mt. Tamalpais
Go .8 mile – you are now at Four Corners
Go straight, uphill, on road signed Stinson Beach/Mt. Tamalpais
Go .9 mile
Turn left on Ridge Avenue
In a short distance you’ll see a large, dirt parking lot on your right.
Muir Woods Park Community Assoc. Clubhouse is at the far end of the parking lot, up the gravel driveway.

Coming from the NORTH on Highway 101
Take HWY 101 to HWY 1 Exit – Stinson Beach
Bear right off freeway
Turn left at first stoplight
